i bet you have some misconceptions about what it takes to brand yourself or your small business.

You might think it involves an expensive and time intensive process such as hiring an agency, giving them thousands of dollars, going through a bunch of complex steps, then waiting months until they get back to you after working their "magic."

This is a complete myth.

As a former marketing executive I've partnered with several agencies before and spent hundreds of thousands on commissioning branding work (sometimes with subpar results) before I realized there is a better way.

I've advised and worked for small businesses and startups, midsize and emerging companies, and several Fortune 500 iconic brands such as Ralph Lauren, eBay, Gilt, Procter & Gamble, and many more.

I can tell you from experience:  It need not take a crazy amount of time, energy, or money to establish a strong personal brand or small business brand.

You can brand yourself or build a best-in-class small business brand from scratch, without spending a fortune, if you understand the basics of a strong framework:

Press & Praise

All of our business is out on the internet for all to see. I hate that. But this course showed me that I could control what people see by establishing a strong digital presence. I love that! It’s helping me rethink my image as an artist too.
— John, Musician (Los Angeles)
I’m launching a design studio. I obviously understand the visual elements of branding but was pretty clueless when it came to the strategy. I needed to learn this for my business but also to add more value to my clients. Thanks for teaching the basics in an easy to understand format.
— Kathryn, Designer & Freelancer (Toronto)
To be honest, even as an executive I never thought much about personal branding — that’s until I hit the senior leadership level and realized any progress going forward was going to be less about pure merit and more about my ability to influence and shape opinions. So I’m using this course to position myself as a thought leader in my field!
— Maria, Entertainment Executive (New York)
This is great stuff. We’re trying to get a tech startup off the ground. The product is priority but we’re in an oversatured market. With all the competition, this is helping us differentiate with a strong brand too.
— Jonas, Entrepreneur (Berlin)

Course FAQs

How is this course different?

This course is unique given its simplicity. You will be paced carefully through a well-structured format that makes it easy to learn the framework and implement each step of the process.

Moreover, this course draws on my direct experience as a former marketing executive and current brand strategist. I'm also a small business owner – all the copy and creative you see on this blog was created from scratch by me using this exact framework.

My framework has been carefully crafted and refined after working on dozens of branding exercises for professionals, entrepreneurs, startups, small businesses, and even multi-billion dollar Fortune 500s.

Who is this course for?

This course was especially designed with professionals, small business owners, and creative entrepreneurs in mind – especially those rich in ideas and inspiration but limited in resources (time, money, or support).

Why address business and personal branding?

The process and framework for the two are very similar (with a few nuances). I also find that creative entrepreneurs and small business owners often act as the face of their brand (or their business is their brand) and so there isn't as much distinction between individual and business.

No matter if you are a professional, entrepreneur, or business owner the course will teach you everything you need to know in order to create a strong brand.

What format is the course delivered in?

The course is sent via a daily email with the lesson and challenge plus a professional course system where all of the premium materials (workbooks and guides, reading recommendations and resources, etc.) are housed.

How long does it take?

It will take about 30 minutes to consume each lesson, however the time you spend applying the lessons to your brand via the daily challenges and supplemental materials is up to you.
